Review on St.Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion

A gradual tanner that you apply in the shower, that takes 3 minutes to apply. Could this be too good to be true?!? Is this some sort of magic cream?

I've heard a lot about this cream lately so I needed to give it a go.

Now, normally I am very cautious with my fake tanning habits and I often find it a chore to exfoliate, moisturise, avoid any light surfaces, hide my streaky patches and smell like a biscuit.  I have to plan when I'm going to fake tan, it's never a spur of the moment choice, a special occasion can only enlighten my urge to tan. When that moment does arise, it very rarely goes smoothly, I always have darker areas, or spots I've forgotten about and the biscuit smell, now just makes me feel nauseous. It now just reminds me of being hungover in uni, feeling very sick. ugh.

But this little beauty has changed my mind. It's so simple to use.
Hop in the shower, commence your usual routine, turn the water off and then rub in the tan in circular motions.  Rinse after 3 mins. Viola ! That's it.

The cream is a pale white colour which surprised me, it just looks like moisturiser. When you rub it in, it feels like a moisturiser too.  It actually has sweet almond oil in and claims to hydrate your skin for 24 hours.

Now I know what your asking. Does this smell of hob nobs? Well, not at first, when you apply the cream it's got quite a pleasant musky smell to it.  Sadly after the cream had developed over a few hours, a tinge of biscuit scan be detected. Bur don't get me wrong, this is very subtle and nothing as bad as other fake tans I've tried.

After one application, I couldn't really notice a colour change.  By day 3 of using the cream I had a really nice subtle glow, which is perfect for me. I'll probably top it up in a few days, to maintain the colour.

Overall, I found this gradual tanner so simple and hassle free to use. I really like the colour it has given me,however if you're looking for a darker and deeper tan, with quick results this may not be the right product for you.  This products is mess free, streak free and fake tan novices like me can handle it.
For me, who wants a subtle holiday glow without the lengthy process of applying tan, its pretty darn perfect!

  1. Sounds so interesting, but I don't know how I'd deal with standing in the cold for three mins!

  2. I had doubts that this would work, I mean a tanning cream you use in the shower?! But it looks like it's actually pretty good, as long as it doesn't make you streaky!
